How On the go soaps Got Started
Back in 2020
Greetings! We are Benjamin and Sigourney Wilson, who back in 2020 were living in Austin, Texas. On top of everything else going on that year, we were poisoned by black mold in the house we were renting. As you can imagine, it was a nightmare. We were faced with a tough decision, and had to literally trash everything, to avoid the risk of the mold spores following us surreptitiously wherever we went. It was time for a fresh start. We got rid of everything we owned, downsized into a Casita travel trailer and we hit the road!
Florida, Missouri & North Carolina
We started by traveling to Florida, where things were wild, unpredictable & fun. So much was different than we expected, as is much of life. After hotels and beaches for almost a year, we transitioned to a homestead in Missouri. Still recovering from the lingering effects of the mold, we noticed the exhaustive lists of harsh chemicals on all the hygiene products we had. Sigourney brought her research and passion to the game and made our first batches of soap in Caledonia, Missouri. Eventually we were on the go again to North Carolina, which inspired new formulas. As way led onto way, we finally made it to West Virginia.
Expression & Creativity
We are constantly striving to make the best, most luxurious soaps even better. We have landed and are staying in gorgeous Harpers Ferry, and with the Shenandoah river and blue mountains for inspiration, On The Go Soaps has so much more coming. The story continues...
